The park restrooms located on the side of City Hall will be locked as of 11/01/2023 for the winter. If you will be having a special event in one of the pavilions, please call and let us know and we will make sure they will be unlocked for your event.
Halloween Trick-or-Treating Hours

The City of Athens announced Halloween trick-or-treating hours for the city. Trick-or-treating will be from 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.

CITY WIDE CLEAN UP AUGUST 7-11

A-Team Disposal will be conducting their city-wide clean-up from August 7-11. Please have your items on the curb out front of the house, not in the alley (items left in the alley will not be picked up). Please make sure any little loose items are boxed or bagged for easier pickup.
Lead Line Replacement

The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency recently revised the lead and copper rule for community drinking water, requiring municipalities to gather and update water service line material information for all structures connected to the distribution system.
